“Hank was one day away from being euthanized. This dog just needed a chance, so I said yes to fostering. At first I didn't know what to expect but after receiving so much support from Golden State, I was sure fostering was for me. After six weeks of walks, family functions and lots of love, he become the best dog ever. He was adopted by a wonderful family. I cried happy tears as I watched him go, but knew it was a perfect family for him… and I now had room to help another dog!”

I have fostered over 24 dogs for GSGSR in the past 6 years, ranging from puppies to seniors. With 2 dogs of my own, the #1 goal is making sure they all get along. I trust the GSGSR evaluation process and know the dogs are open to being with others. Watching a shy, nervous dog bloom into something fun and lovable is just wonderful.
