Finn is a 1 year 9 month -old, 60 lb German Shepherd mix. He's a friendly, loving, active dog. Finn loves to fetch, run, hikes, playing at the park/beach -- all favorite activities. Finn has a good handle on basic obedience commands and is very responsive to treats. He's done a board and train program with Elise Lawler (who will continue to work with him in his new home if the owners would like) and also worked with John Vinton (A better dog trainer) He's good walking on and off leash. He's house trained and crate trained. He loves to be around people and to cuddle. He's never shown signs of separation anxiety and will be very attached to his people.
Finn was a mouthy puppy and is still working on his mouthiness and excitability now. We are about to start a family and his excitability makes us concerned he won't be a good fit with an infant or toddler. But he would be a great dog for an active couple or active family with slightly older children. He is fine with cats in the house and with other dogs. He goes to doggy-daycare two days a week and loves it. He does show a little bit of a resource guarding with his tennis ball but has been improving with training.
