Rubrum is one of the five 'Crayon Color Gang'.  This litter all had different color collars put on by the shelter.  Each of their names is either aGreek/German or Latin name of the color they were wearing when they came to us.  Rubrum is Latin for Red.

It appears the litter did not have much human contact before coming to rescue, but they are blossoming into wonderful pups and will be amazing dogs.  Because they are pups, and recent aquisitions, we don't have much info on them.  However, this is what we have noticed in Rubrum so far.

He's a wonderful happy-go-lucky pup who is always wagging tail and has a smile on his face - a sweet, beautiful little being.

He's well house trained, and intelligent enough to run to the back door and bark to go out to potty.  He's robust, brave, and a husky little guy, so he will probably be a big boy.

If you are frequently out and about, or go on long road trips, he's your pup, he is a good car rider.

Is Red the color for you?

We carefully choose homes for our puppies as they require owners who are home enough, and have the time, energy and patience to guide the puppy through their chewing, digging, and mouthing stages (which can last through adolescence), and who will provide regular exercise, socialization and training so the puppy will grow up to be a mannerly adult dog. All puppies bark incessantly, dig, and destroy things if they are left alone for long periods of time, and thus, need to be with owners who do not leave them alone for long hours.
