Ready for Adoption Added December 16, 2018
See me at the next Adoption Day!
Rascal is a super happy young energetic pup, who we know the name suits! He was so adorable in his kennel we knew he needed a perfect start to life. He is learning the ropes from his foster siblings. He does like to bark to call attention to himself and to let you know he needs to be let out out of his crate to go potty, occassionally he still has an accident and we are working on that. He has great eye focus, knows sit, down and is working on stay. He loves to be with people and has really good recall. We are not sure what is previous life was like, but he is developing into a wonderful dog. He will definitely need lots of training and a confident handler / family, if not given the rules, discipline and training he could potentially take over. He still has all the puppy traits including mouthiness, chewing and submissive peeing. Patience, love and work is what he will need to continue building his confidence.
He has the potential of being a great dog, has great play and ball drive, most definitely loves his cookies and treats. He is a little too interested in the cats, so may not be a good match for a cat home. As for other dogs he likes everyone that he has met so far, but can be a little over the top playing with them so monitoring and limiting his play has been helpful. We have been trying to get his ears to stand up, but not sure they will.
A commitment of two solid years of training will benefit him and his new family. Rascal is microchipped, current on all his shots and has been neutered.
Adoption Fee includes spay or neuter, vaccinations including rabies, worming, microchip, and a collar.
