See me at the next Adoption Day!

My name is Feliz and yes, I am a happy playful puppy.  I was delivered to GSGSR from The Stanislaus Shelter at their Christmas Luncheon and of course I won over everyone!!  You see I came to them with a broken tibia, but that didn't stop them from taking me in.  I went to the vet and got X-rays, next thing I know I had a cast on my leg and I could start playing, well not much, but a little.  I had to have a cast on for several weeks, but it is off now and I can run around with the big dogs.  My foster mom still makes me take it easy, but when she is not looking I go find my foster sisters and bug them.  They say I am a typical GSD puppy, which means I am active, playful, curious, and headstrong.

I think I will do best with a family that knows about Shepherds and will spend time training me, walking me, playing with me and of course loving me.  If you have cats I will probably chase them, but I really just want to play with them.  I am crate trained and working on my house manners, but I still have an occassional accident.  Did I tell you I have really good eye focus especially when you have a yummy treat.  I would love to have a job of some kind when I grow up.  I do not want to be stuck in a backyard everyday of my life.  So if I sound like someone you would like to meet fill out an Adoption Questionnaire and someone will contact you back.

We carefully choose homes for our puppies as they require owners who are home enough, and have the time, energy and patience to guide the puppy through it's chewing, digging, and mouthing stages (which can last through adolescence), and who will provide regular exercise, socialization and training so the puppy will grow up to be a mannerly adult dog. All puppies bark incessantly, dig, and destroy things if they are left alone for long periods of time, and thus, need to be with owners who do not leave them alone for long hours.
