Ready for Adoption Added September 22, 2018
See me at the next Adoption Day!
My name is Ellie and I am seeking a family that wants to love me, continue my training and socialization. I came from Stanislaus Shelter and little is known about me. Here is my story now: I have been with my foster family since September. When they came to evaluate me I was leaned up against my kennel so the male evaluator would love on me. He took me out to the yard and a female checked me out all over. I let her look at my teeth, my ears, my paws and she even tugged on my tail. I must have done okay because I got lots of pets and treats. They introduced me to a handsome male dog, I was a little leery, but realized he was not mean. The next thing I was heading for the front door and I was free.
In my new foster home I learned sit, down, how to walk on a leash. I have my very own crate and bed which is right by the back door so I can see everything going on. I have met all kinds of new dogs, I prefer male dogs, but I can play with females if they are not mean or want to boss me around. My favorite thing is to play fetch. I love catching a ball and I am fast running after it. I like to take my time coming back with it, but I will bring it back. Check out my YouTube video link below.
I can be shy and a little shy when meeting new people, but will warm up to them especially if they have a treat and are slow meeting me. I think my best home would be with a woman and if she has another dog I could play with that would be fine. I do like men, but some make me nervous. I do not like cats, so if you have a cat it will not work for me. I would like to learn more things and be your best friend for life. My foster family loves me and I love them, but I really want to have my very own family.....Could it be YOU??
