Mona Lisa
Female 7.7 years Level 2.5
Adopted Added September 22, 2018
Are you looking for a happy, playful girl then Mona Lisa maybe your girl. She is a sweet girl on the smaller side. She was covered in paint when we evaluated her, hence the name, Mona Lisa...she is a beautiful piece of art! She is attentive to people and friendly with the dogs we evaluated her with. She is doing really well in her foster home. Mona Lisa is learning to come when called, she has great eye focus and looks like she will excel at any activities her new family wants to challenge her with.
Mona Lisa is on the smaller side, is quite the looker and a happy go lucky girl! She is crate trained and potty trained. She likes playing with other dogs and is non reactive to the foster cats. Mona Lisa will need continued training and exposure to the world.
Update from her foster 11.13.18: Mona Lisa is a special dog from what we have seen, super smart, very intense, engaging, and eager to learn whatever we want to teach her. We are working on her recall, "look" or "eyes on me" when distracted, stay/wait at corners and when coming out of her crate, shake, rollover, etc. We had a garage sale this past weekend and Mona Lisa was outside with us both days. She was our official greeter and did beautifully! We had many people attend and she was super friendly and sweet with everyone, kids included. It got quite hectic at times with lots going on and it did not phase her at all. She just seemed happy to be out in the sun and with her people (and many new adoring ones!) She has many layers-one moment she is serious and intensely focused and the next moment she's a big ham, rolling on her back, giving us a huge grin while she gets her beloved belly rubs! So many people commented on her looks and her wonderful disposition.
We can help more dogs if we have more volunteers. If you can help in any way, please contact us.
