Sutro was found tied to a pole with a cattle dog puppy in San Francisco. The poor guy was left to fend for himself and the other puppy dominated him and ate his food. He is skinny, but eating well. He is a sweet pup, but needs to learn dog on dog manners. He is fearful of other dogs and tries to chest up to them with his barks, but we are working on correcting that. He needs exposure to the world and other dogs. He did do well meeting dogs at the park with some quick corrections, and by then end of the day, he was not barking as new dogs approached him. He is a FAST eater as it looks like he had to fight for food, so monitoring him with food around other dogs is a must.
He is learning to play well with a young female and older male. He shadows the older male and really wants to be close to him, but is unsure of how to play with the female, as she is a little bossy. He is learning. He's been to dog parks and has met many different types and ages of dogs and seems to be much calmer when introduced.
He has been netured already from SF Animal Control. He is healthy, happy and learning to sleep in his crate as well as working on potty training him.
