Aries is a big handsome boy who is about 18 months old that has amazing energy and really wants to please.  He was evidently hit by a car on April Fool's Day, dropped off at the emergency vet in Modesto who cleaned and splinted his leg.  He was then dropped off at the Stanislaus Shelter.  GSGSR was called and we brought him into our program.  Within a few days he was taken into surgery had a plate and a couple of pins put into his front left leg.  During the healing process he had to have his leg in a cast and changed each week, that did not seem to bother him at all, he loved going to his vet and always came out with a different colored cast.  It has been a long couple of months for him, but he is out of his cast and getting to enjoy a little bit of fun with a couple of other dogs.  He has a slight limp, but we are hopeful it will go away as he continues to heal.  He loves going for rides and meeting new people.  Aries loves to play with toys, with his foster family and foster dogs.  He is working on proper greetings to other dogs, learning basic commands.  He is crate trained and does really well in the house.  He is not big on cats or little dogs.  Aries needs a home that can help continue his rehab, training, provide lots of love and toys.
