Cowboy is a 2-3 yr old GSD mix breed. We know that he was owned by a family that lost interest in him, and tied him to the shelter gate in the middle of the night. The family and history is well known to the volunteer, and she recognized this sweet boy at the shelter. This dog is one of the sweetest dogs in the world, and we could not let him be euthanized in the shelter, so he is in our program. Cowboy is good with dogs, good with cats, good with people , and is housebroken and crate trained. He does not dig, chew, nor jump fences. Cowboy has a minor genetic deformity: his left front leg turns out a bit and the bones grew at different rate, so it is a slightly different length than his other leg. He can still run and play, and it does not slow him down! There is no further treatment needed for it. We have seen this before in other dogs, and it doesn't stop them from living a great life. This is one of the sweetest, happiest, most loving dog you could ask for. He is OK for a novice or beginner owner.
