Pepper is about 2 1/2 years old, is medium-size,  about 64 pounds, and is a very outgoing young female GSD.   She is great in her crate, fine in the house, OK with the foster home's indoor cat,  OK around dogs and kids, and is great in the car.   Pepper is not a barker when outside except to appropriately alarm bark, and she has a great, loud bark for that purpose.   She does chase squirrels and birds with strong intent and so would probably chase outdoor cats.

Pepper would be great as an only dog, or could live with a compatible male dog.   She plays well with the male Corgi in her foster home but doesn't like rough play with larger dogs, although she is fine with compatible calmer large dogs.   Pepper walks great on a leash with her Gentle Leader, and people often stop and comment how good she is.  Pepper's biggest need is more work on her recall, especially when those pesky animals like squirrels or birds are around.   She does know sit and down and works well for food.

Pepper would be fine alone for 8 hrs/day. Although her previous owners did not give her much training, she is a fast learner and a fun dog to have around.  She loves training sessions in and outside the house and loves working for food. She also loves sniffing and seems like she would be great at nosework or tracking activities.  Pepper is a fast girl and loves heading out for walks, jogs and hikes but is equally fine settling with her foster inside the home.  Her fosterer says she is a pleasure to have around and she attracts attention wherever she goes.
