North Dakota is a 5 year old, very pretty, classic black and tan female weighing about 55 pounds. She was surrendered to us by her original owners because they were moving. They've had her since she was a puppy and have taken great care of her. You would NEVER know she's 5 years old by looking at her! She acts and looks like a 2 year old dog, is soooo easy to have in her foster home and is trained. Her biggest joy is playing ball. She will retrieve it and drop it at your feet so you will throw it again.

N. Dakota has been great with both small and big dogs she's met and has been good with kids in her first home. She is housebroken, very quiet and not destructive at all but she does show some prey drive to cats. She prefers not to be left outside for long hours, as she has been a house dog, but she stays outside with her foster brother for several hours at times without difficulty. She does not dig, chew, nor jump fences. Dakota would be perfect for an active family who likes a social, easy dog to go places with them and who will play fetch with her for exercise. She would be fine as an only dog or with easy-going dogs.
