Ready for Adoption Added February 03, 2025

Duke was rescued from the streets of Stockton after Thanksgiving. He was starving and appeared to have given up all hope. Seeing him on the street broke the hearts so the kind Samaritans rescued him, fed him, and nursed his physical and mental health. They had Duke neutered, vaccinated, chipped, heartworm tested (negative), and started rudimentary training.

Duke is approx.18 months old and is extremely intelligent, affectionate, playful, and high-energy. Clem takes him on daily morning three-mile walks, something Duke requires and “demands”.

Duke has shown no reactivity or aggression towards dogs of any size and is comfortable with people of all ages.  And although Duke is living with four little dogs, he would do best in a home with dogs his size.  He is animated when he sees kitties on walks so Duke may do best in a cat free enviornment.

Duke is house broken and sleeps well through the night.

The perfect home for Duke would be with an active family, single person, or couple. And although Duke would absolutely enjoy a playful, fun loving four-legged pal to run around and play with, Duke would do best in any active family environment, one who would provide him with activities and structured training.
