Ready for Adoption Added November 16, 2023

Senior, Special needs (Health)

Sweetie was found after being dumped on the streets of Stockton. She was struggling to walk and the shelter staff suspected she might have degenerative myelopathy.

Due to overcrowding, she was only 4 hours from being euthanized when Golden State German Shepherd Rescue got a call. Fosters Kelly and Andrew took her in as a fospice, to live out the rest of her life in comfort.

After receiving love, good food, vet care and physical therapy, she surprisingly began to get stronger. Her hind legs improved to the point she could walk and eventually run with their other dogs. It was a miraculous recovery.
