Bolo is a 7 year old male German Shepherd who is an all around nice guy.  He is respectful with other dogs, learned the dog door in one try, and rides well in a car. He gets excited when he knows he is going on a walk but he calms right down after that. He does like to chase cats. 

Bolo is a quite civilized home and family dog.  He sleeps in the master bedroom and is, of course, housebroken and uses our dogdoor as needed.  He may take something off a coffee table, counter or floor to use as a toy, such as a sock or a jar,  but has never chewed or damaged anything.  Nor has he climbed on any furniture.  Like many dogs, he does like to explore kitchen and bathroom garbage cans if they are accessible. 

In fact, Bolo is about perfect.  Affectionate, happy, easygoing and always ready for a ball toss or a toy.  His favorite toy here is an empty gallon milk container.  He is fine with stranger-dogs he meets in the vet’s office and also with male and female neighbor dogs.  At an adoption day, Bolo was great and gentle with children.  If this good looking boy sounds right for you, just let us know.  Bolo is being fostered in the foothills of the Sierras but sometimes arrangements to meet him can be made for Elk Grove, Jackson, Lodi or similar areas.
