Male 2.3 years

Ready for Adoption Added March 22, 2022

Danny was found on March 16, 2022, on the side of the freeway, not wanting to walk. After being brought to the Stockton shelter and after being examined, x-rays revealed he was shot in the leg resulting in a large pellet radius and ulna fracture. He also had some wounds to left front leg.

Danny had surgery in March where a plate was inserted to hold the fracture in place while it healed. He will be going to what we hope will be his final vet visit.

In May, Dr. O'Brien said Danny's leg was healing well but not as fast as he had hoped. The good news is, Dr. O'Brien feels this brave boy is definitely on a strong road to full recovery.

We believe Danny is around two years old. And despite his injuries, this handsome fella appears easy to handle, friendly, affectionate, and is treat motivated. He is currently being fostered in a home surrounded by a myriad of "siblings" including a peacock, peahens, other dogs, a pig, chickens, and horses.
